10 Exceptional Podcasts to Listen to During the Lockdown

On March 16, people had been told by the government to avoid all non-essential contact and on March 20 all bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants were closed, as well as all schools and childcare facilities, gyms, museums and so on. Those lockdown rules are now still in place in order to fight back the coronavirus pandemic and flattening the curve.

We have been at home for what seems like an infinite amount of time, and we still need to do some sacrifices before being able to go back to a (new)normal life.

We have mastered the art of work from home, found a new routine and bake banana breads like never before. We have worked out everyday, cleaned the house, read all the books and did everything we had to do.

So what’s left? Podcasts, obviously.

Even though they gained a lot of popularity in the past couple of years, an Ofcom research highlighted that in the UK only an average of 7.1 million adults (which corresponds to an 11% of the total population) listen to a podcast per week. But podcasts are great for numerous reasons: they can be entertaining, informational, and, above all, somewhat time-consuming (which is a good thing these days). Moreover, and maybe most important of all, it’s easy to multitask while you listen to podcasts.

So here’s a list of 10 inspirational podcasts to listen to during the lockdown.
