Yesterday afternoon, it was announced that Barbara Palvin would be the newest member of the Victoria’s Secret Angel Family.
As soon as it was announced, Palvin was immediately flooded with love and excitement from past and current angels such as: Josephine Skriver, Sara Sampaio, Doutzen Kroes, Jasmine Tookes and more. Considering Palvin has only walked in two VS shows (2018 & 2012), some may think this is premature, but it is actually the exact opposite.
Palvin has worked with Victoria’s Secret a number of times. She has appeared in several advertisements for the brand, making frequent appearances on their Instagram.
She is not a new face by any means. The 25-year-old model is a household name, having worked with fashion powerhouses such as Prada, Miu Miu, Chanel, Vivienne Westwood, Moschino and so many more (the list is truly infinite). In addition, Palvin has scored quite a few covers on the most elite fashion magazines. Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and L’Officiel just to name a few. And all while doing this, she has managed to rack up over 12 million followers across Instagram and Twitter.
A large reason the model has gained and kept such a following is because of her honesty. Last year, Palvin opened up about her struggle with body image and self love.

This is me it took me a while to understand what people meant by “listen to your body” – it’s not always easy feeling good in our own skin and it takes time, trust me im still learning over the past year I ve discovered so much about my body, how it can change and evolve. One thing is for sure – only you know what’s best for you.
Here we are a year later, and she’s found her happiness.
“When I was 13, I saw the VSFS and said, ‘One day I will get there.’ 3 or 4 years later, I shot with PINK for the first time. Now I fell like I was destined to do this. VS caught me at the perfect time because I’m finally happy with myself and my body.”
We look forward to seeing Barbara in all things Victoria’s Secret! And here’s to hoping Dylan brings her Shake Shack at this year’s fashion show.
